SMU SYMPHONIA PRESENTS
"If music be the food of love, play on” – William Shakespeare
Music is often seen as the sustenance of life. Much like how love nourishes and gives contentment to life, music expresses affectionate emotions that instill tenderness in us. The intimate relationship between music, love and life, gives rise to Symphona Festiva: Teneramente, the fourth installation of Symphonia’s annual concert series.
The word Teneramente means with tenderness and this year, Symphonia portrays the concept of tender love as the contentment of life. Presenting a repertoire that paints the picture of love, the concert will also feature ensembles that will showcase a different aspect of Symphonia.
Join us at the SMU Arts Festival 2010 Closing Gala, as Symphonia celebrates love with an evening of delightful music.
